Discover the sights around

Our guest house is situated in the small town Laage right at the heart of Mecklenburg. Enjoy the lovely landscape using bicycle and hiking paths in the near surrounding, swim in one of several lakes or canoe the little river Recknitz.

The harbour city Rostock is only 20km away. Discover the historical sights of the town which has been a center of trade since the middle ages, or relax on the famous beach of Warnemünde.

Just as near is the town Güstrow, which is famous for its renaissance palace hosting a museum. Güstrow was the home of the sculptor Ernst Barlach. His house at the Inselsee is open for visitors, the Barlach museum shows a selection of his works.

Kids (as well as their parents) will be excited by a visit to the Natur- und Umweltpark (NUP) in Güstrow. You will see wolves in a wide, natural enclosure or take a walk below the surface of a lake in a glass tunnel.
